Membership
ISBT membership brings the whole world of transfusion direct to you or your organisation. Being a member entitles you to:
- A complimentary subscription and electronic access to Vox Sanguinis, the Society’s journal.
- Receipt of and electronic access to Transfusion Today, the Society’s magazine.
- Receipt of the ISBT e-news.
- Discounts on registration fees for congresses.
- Access to the members only content on the ISBT website including the membership directory.
- Access to web casts and online forums.
- The opportunity to build productive contacts with fellow members and network internationally.
Who can become a member?
There are four categories of membership:
- Individual: Individuals who have demonstrated a sustained interest in the field of blood transfusion medicine and science or related disciplines.
- Affiliate: Organisations, societies, associations or services, adhering to the ISBT Code of Ethics. Acceptance is decided by the Board.
- Exempt: For individuals who live in one of the low and medium development index countries, included in the UN Development Programme (UNDP) list and are under 40 years of age
- Honorary: Individual members who have rendered distinguished service to the ISBT. This honour is decided and conferred by the Board.
