If you are travelling by air, you can reach the city via EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg or nearby Zurich Airport. It's very easy to plan your journey via the three railway stations and the major motorways. Cruise ships also travel down the Rhine to Basel every day!
EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is located just 15 minutes from the city centre. It offers 500 scheduled and charter flights every week and more than 60 destinations to guarantee you a convenient arrival. It offers more than 90 direct flights within Europe, North Africa, Canada and Russia. All other destinations can be reached via intercontinental hubs or nearby Zurich airport.
Travel by railway
Basel is an international rail hub with direct ICE, IC and EC daytime and nighttime connections from Germany, Austria, Italy France and the Benelux countries.
All three of Basel’s railway stations – SBB (Switzerland), SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) – are within 5 to 10 minutes of the Basel Exhibition Centre.
For guests travelling from Germany: MCH Messe Basel and "Deutsche Bahn", the leading German railway company, have long-term, fixed-price contracts, allowing congress participants to travel to and from all parts of Germany at a flat rate (as little as of EUR 49,50 for one-way).

From the Airport
Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is 15 minutes’ drive from Congress Center Basel. Further, there is an easy connection from EuroAirport to the exhibition center in downtown Basel by public transport (Bus Nr. 50), via the central Swiss railway station (Bahnhof SBB). From Bahnhof SBB the tram line no. 2 serves Basel Exhibition square directly.
There are frequent trains between Basel SBB station and Zurich taking less than an hour, and direct services to and from Zurich Airport.
