I liked the poster walk and party format adopted this year. Attendance on the poster walks was good. As a moderator it is frustrating when poster authors do not attend to present their work. I know it is difficult for those who have more than one poster displayed, and for poster authors who are also moderators, but authors do have a responsibility to ensure their poster is attended during the poster walk.
Introducing the 'awards' for best abstract and best poster is a good idea. The major difficulty in these sessions is being able to hear the more quietly spoken presenters against the background noise.
