Patrick Mollison
09 December 2011ISBT is sad to report that Patrick Loudon Mollison C.B.E., F.R.S. died on 26th November 2011.
Pat was President of ISBT from 1960 – 1963 and single author of the first seven editions of Mollison’s Blood Transfusion in Clinical Medicine and co-author with Marcela Contreras and Paul Engelfriet of editions 8 – 10. Mollison as it is affectionately known continues to be the gold standard amongst Transfusion Medicine text books.
