Proposed modifications to the Statutes and Bylaws of the International Society of Blood Transfusion

The Board of Directors has determined that it is necessary to revise the Statutes and Bylaws of the ISBT.  In particular, this has been necessitated by concerns about the legal standing of the current procedures for election of members of the Board of Directors.  It has also become apparent that a number of other corrections and changes are necessary.  This communication is intended to alert members to these proposed changes, to review specific issues of concern and to initiate the process of member comment on the drafts.  There will be an opportunity for members to learn more and to discuss the issues during the International Congress in Cancún.  Copies of the proposed new versions are available on the members only section of the website.
