Public Consultation on the Working Party on IT Interface Task Force ‘white paper’ on the development of an ISBT Interface Standard
24 August 2010The ISBT Working Party on Information Technology Interface Task Force has released a ‘white paper’ on the development of an ISBT Interface Standard. This white paper describes the mechanism proposed by the Task Force for the development of an interface standard for instrument to blood establishment computer system information transfer. The proposed standard would apply to all instruments interfacing to blood establishment computer systems.
This document is available for public comment and feedback is requested from blood services, instrument vendors and blood management system software developers. The comment period will end on 31 October 2010, following which the Interface Task Force will decide on the next steps. Instructions on submitting comments are included in the document.
