Winner ISBT Award for Developing Countries

10 May 2012

The ISBT Award for Developing Countries was created out of the vision of Erhard Seifried, ISBT’s past president, during his presidency of ISBT. This award enables the winner to attend an International Congress of the ISBT, organize an education symposium and/or a potential short scholarship to visit a centre of excellence.  The award is open to Blood Services and/or Centres or individuals from low or medium development index countries according to the UN HDP list.

A special selection committee was formed to review the 28 applications.  The members of the review committee scored the applications according to a number of criteria.
