To develop the definition of blood supply management
To increase knowledge of the different elements of blood supply management
To facilitate the exchange of information and data between countries and blood services on all aspects of blood supply management including storage, transportation, and inventory management
To provide advice and support to countries on matters related to blood supply management
To recommend best practice in blood supply management to ensure effective inventory management and to optimise the use of donated blood
To improve the management and availability of the blood supply through the use of a tool kit to include operational policies, and initiatives for sufficiency and appropriate use
