Aim of the webinar:
The aim of the webinar is to be an educational experience, with the expectation to increase knowledge of what antibodies are clinically significant and we need to detect compared to those that may have no significance and may just distract us from what is important.

Level of education required (1 - Fundamental Awareness, 2 - Novice, 3 - intermediate, 4 - Advanced, 5 - Expert):
2 - Novice, 3 - intermediate and 4 – advanced

Prior knowledge required:
No extra reading required, just a general knowledge of the practical and applied theory of antibody detection and identification and familiarity with the common methodologies. Familiarity with the Serious Hazards of Transfusion reports, local guidelines for Pretransfusion compatibility and the ISBT Outcome of incompatible transfusion form may be advantageous.

Target audience:

Those who are involved in antibody detection and identification which will include both private and public hospital laboratories as well blood donor collection laboratories.
