The proposed updates to the ISBT Statutes and By-Laws were approved by the General Assembly on June 3, 2025. The updated Statutes were officially notarized on January 5, 2026, formalizing their legal effect. These changes were introduced to align with the Management and Supervision Act for Legal Entities (Wet Bestuur en Toezicht Rechtspersonen), which came into force in the Netherlands on July 1, 2021

Further minor changes to the ISBT Statutes and By-laws are proposed for ISBT members to vote on at the ISBT General Assembly (GA) taking place at the ISBT congress in Kuala Lumpur on June 23, 2026.
