Professor Jason Acker appointed as ISBT Scientific Secretary 2022 - 2025
Jason is currently Senior Research Scientist at the Canadian Blood Services, Edmonton, Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Alberta and is a longstanding member of ISBT. His extensive experience in transfusion science in many different roles and of programme organisation for other scientific societies are great assets for ISBT. There will be a handover period with the current ISBT Scientific Secretary, Professor John Semple, leading up to the ISBT 2022 virtual congress in June. Congratulations to Jason, and welcome to this ISBT leadership role.
