Aim of the webinar:

Introduce/remind participants of potential sources of bias – first in clinical trials, and then applying the same signposting questions to in-vitro/lab studies. Based on a systematic review we have published where we included a lot of in-vitro study data in our meta-analysis.

Level of education required:

All welcome. Understanding of basic comparative study design (namely randomised controlled clinical trials and/or paired samples in labs).

What knowledge is required?

Prior reading is not essential. We can send our published SR (that included in-vitro) and conference poster (focusing on the ROB tool we developed) in advance, or can “advertise” it during the session.

We'd recommend you to read the below publications before the webinar

Target audience

1. Anyone interested in knowing more about RoB in SRs, especially those undertaking research in a lab.
2. Anyone undertaking research in a lab that may wish to improve their reporting (to help reviewers!).
3. Anyone interested in doing an SR to include lab (in-vitro) studies.
