About

We are elated to be planning the return of the in-person symposium! There is no substitution for the face-to-face experience, where you can reunite with friends and colleagues and engage with exhibitors. For those unable to attend in-person, IHN- SHOT will also be streamed virtually.

SHOT is celebrating 25 years of haemovigilance reporting, we want to use this year to recognise the contribution of everyone that has supported SHOT over the last 25 years and made it what it is today – our reporters, our team members, our steering group and working expert group members, the MHRA, the UK blood services, our blood donors, the UK transfusion committees and our colleagues across the world. #SHOT25

SHOT have partnered with the International Haemovigilance Network to hold The Annual SHOT Symposium 2022. The event will run from 6-8 July 2022 in Brighton. The theme of the event will be ‘Transfusion Safety: Past, Present and Future’.

2022 is also the 60th anniversary of the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath). SHOT is affiliated to the RCPath, the organisations are working together to provide sponsorship packages that include a presence at the SHOT Symposium and the RCPath Open Day.
