Here's all the information you need to know.
ISBT will hold the following congresses in 2030 and 2031, and expressions of interest are invited from National Blood Transfusion societies or National Blood Transfusion institutes.
• An International ISBT congress in June 2030
• A European regional ISBT congress in June 2031
• A non-European regional ISBT congress in November 2031
ISBT is committed to holding its congresses at venues around the globe, and since 1990, congresses have been held in 34 different countries and 44 different cities. Gothenburg, Cape Town, Barcelona, Milan and Perth are recent host cities.
ISBT congresses are organised by the ISBT Core Professional Congress Organiser and the ISBT Central Office. The Local Organising committee will have some responsibilities including proposing topics for the scientific programme and making suggestions for the social programme.
For the non-European congress in November 2031, consideration will also be given to partnering with transfusion societies holding meetings in collaboration with other societies in related fields, based on the model of the Blood2025-ISBT congress in Perth.
The closing date for expressions of interest is Monday February 5, 2026.
