ISBT Awards and Prizes (new)

This page displays information on all ISBT awards, prizes and fellowships.

ISBT honours excellence, innovation, and leadership in transfusion science and medicine, celebrating individuals and organisations for outstanding contributions in research, clinical practice, education, and service.

The Jean Julliard Prize recognises early-career achievement in transfusion research, while the ISBT Presidential Award honours lifetime contributions to the field. The Judith Chapman Award supports emerging leaders, and the Harold Gunson and Exceptional Abstract Travel Fellowships enable young investigators (<40 years) to present at ISBT congresses. The Ravi Reddy Award recognises exceptional blood service development in low- and middle-income countries.

Two awards are internally nominated: the ISBT Award for contributions to transfusion medicine/science and the Vox Sanguinis Best Paper Prize for the top annual publication in ISBT’s journal.

Together, these awards reflect ISBT’s commitment to advancing global excellence in transfusion science, medicine, and practice. Details on eligibility, benefits, and nomination or application processes are provided below.
