Vox Sanguinis Best Paper Prize
ISBT grants the Vox Sanguinis Best Paper Prize for the best original article published per calendar year in Vox Sanguinis. In case of multiple authors, the prize is awarded to the corresponding author (as representative of the whole team).
Benefits and conditions
					The value of the Prize is €5,000. The Prize winner is presented at the next International Congress of the ISBT with a certificate stating the author(s)name(s) and the title of the paper. The payment is made to the lead author following the congress. 
				
			Eligibility
					Publication of a paper in Vox Sanguinis in the preceding calendar year.
				
			Nominations
Each editor of Vox Sanguinis (Editor in Chief, Section Editors, Review Editors and International Forum Editors) selects one candidate paper from all original articles published in the preceeding year.
This process is initiated by the Editor in Chief of Vox Sanguinis each January and candidate papers made available to the Awards and Prizes committee via the ISBT Central Office by February 28.
Assessment
					The Awards and Prizes Committee assess the papers vs. predefined scoring criteria, select a winner and inform the ISBT Central Office by March 31.
				
			Communication of results
					The ISBT Central Office will inform all candidates of the outcome by mid-April prior to the congress at which the awards ceremony will take place. The successful candidate will be advised that their presence at the award ceremony is required. The name of the winner (or of the team, as appropriate) will be published in Vox Sanguinis. The winner will be announced in the April edition of Transfusion Today (published after candidates are informed).
