State of the Science in Resuscitation for Severe Traumatic Bleeding
The Italian National Blood Centre, in collaboration with the Trauma Haemostasis and Oxygenation Research Network, is organising the International Scientific Conference:
“State of the Science in Resuscitation Medicine for Severe Traumatic Bleeding: Clinical, Logistical, and Regulatory Insights with a Focus on European Perspectives.”
The Main Conference will take place in Rome on November 10 and 11, 2026 at the Center for High Defense Studies, Rome.
On November 9, a closed and preliminary meeting will be held at Casina Pio IV (Vatican City), for a limited group of invited participants.
This high-level international meeting will bring together leading experts in trauma care, transfusion medicine, military and civilian emergency medicine, health systems organisation, and regulatory policy to advance a coordinated European vision for the management of severe traumatic bleeding.
Key topics will include clinical evidence on blood products and haemostatic agents, prehospital transfusion strategies, civilian and military trauma care integration, and European regulatory developments, including the evolving framework on Substances of Human Origin (SoHO).
