Beryl Armstrong

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Beryl Armstrong. Beryl was an inspiration to so many in the field of blood transfusion, a dedicated member of ISBT and a founder member of the ISBT Academy. She was passionate about making transfusion education accessible to all, and her book Introduction to blood transfusion technology has been invaluable to learners globally. 

’Beryl’s book’’ was recently updated, with her input, and re-published by ISBT as an e-book Introduction to blood transfusion: from donor to patient.

Beryl will be greatly missed on a professional and personal level by all at ISBT and her network of friends, students and collaborators from around the world.
