Hemovigilance

This Academy Day session was held on June 21, 2026, during the 39th International ISBT Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Hemovigilance session included the following presentations:

1. Maha Badawi: Human factors and blood donation
2. Idaleswati Nor Mohamed: Safety culture and impact on transfusion safety
3. Megan Rowley: Learning from near misses

Fun fact: during the Academy Day sessions in Kuala Lumpur, experienced moderators were matched with young professionals to let them practice moderating in a supportive setting.
