Aim of the webinar
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe how the UK and Australia organise national governance for Ig use including funding, advisory structures and gatekeeping mechanisms.
- Understand how patient-level Ig data is collected, analysed and fed back to support appropriate use and stewardship.
- Identify practical approaches to prescribing oversight (approval panels, decision support, role of Ig nurses) and how these can function during shortages.
- Reflect on how similar data and governance structures could be adapted in their own countries to enable regular (e.g. annual, prospective) evaluation of Ig use.
- Take away concrete ideas and questions to guide national or regional discussions on strengthening Ig policy, monitoring and equitable access.
What knowledge is required?
- No formal prior knowledge is required. The webinar is aimed at health professionals with a basic understanding of immunoglobulin use in clinical practice.

Target audience
Clinicians, health authority staff, hospital pharmacists, scientists, transfusion practitioners, nurses and blood establishment representatives involved in Ig use, policy or supply.
